Safety and Trust
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-10-11
This policy explains how we expect passengers, drivers and partner businesses to help keep journeys safe.
Before you travel
We require partner businesses and drivers to provide relevant identity, driving, vehicle and insurance information. Our policy is to take reasonable steps to check that information before approving their participation and to seek updated information when required. These checks reduce risk; they cannot guarantee that a journey will be free from harm. Booking reviews and our reporting process help us identify concerns and improve standards. Vehicles are supplied by partners, rather than a fleet owned by PakistanTaxi.com.
A vehicle class or model shown while browsing is not an assigned vehicle. Before boarding, check the confirmed assignment in your booking portal against the driver and vehicle that arrive. If either differs, do not board until the assignment has been verified through your booking and our contact channel. Do not accept an unconfirmed substitute simply because someone knows your name or destination.
Keep your booking reference accessible and your phone charged. Share your itinerary and assigned vehicle details with someone you trust when useful. Carry suitable identification where needed for your journey, without handing original documents to an unverified person. If travelling alone, you may wish to travel with a companion or share your itinerary with someone you trust. Use a seat belt, keep children appropriately restrained, and tell us about accessibility or other practical needs before booking so suitability can be checked.
During a journey
Passengers and drivers must treat each other respectfully. Threats, violence, harassment, discrimination and abuse are unacceptable. Do not pressure a driver to speed, drive while tired, overload a vehicle or break traffic rules. A driver should stop in a safe place if continuing presents a serious risk. Tell us about a safety concern as soon as you can safely do so.
Private arrangements made outside the booking service are not recorded or managed as part of your booking. Keep changes to the journey, driver, vehicle and price within the booking process so they can be checked and documented. This does not remove any rights or responsibilities that apply by law.
Immediate danger or suspected crime
Move to a safer place if you can do so without increasing the danger. Contact the appropriate local emergency service directly. Give your location, the nature of the danger and relevant vehicle details. Do not wait for a website message to be answered before seeking emergency help. Our contact form is not an emergency dispatch service, and we do not promise continuous monitoring or a particular police response.
The official sources below list police contacts for their stated areas. Telephone connectivity and local arrangements can vary; check the relevant regional directory before travel.
| Area | Police contact and official source |
|---|---|
| Punjab | Police emergency 15 |
| Sindh | Madadgar 15 |
| Islamabad Capital Territory | Police emergency 15 |
| Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | Police emergency 15 |
| Balochistan — Quetta | Safe City emergency hotline 15 — this source identifies Quetta; do not assume the same service covers every district |
| Azad Jammu and Kashmir | Police helpline 9121; tourist helpline 1422 |
| Gilgit-Baltistan | Official tourism emergency directory lists Gilgit police 05811-15 and district contacts; use the entry for your location |
| National highways and motorways | NHMP helpline 130 for its highway and motorway remit |
We report suspected criminal conduct to the appropriate police under our incident procedure, sharing relevant information where lawful and necessary. You should also report suspected crime directly to the police with jurisdiction over the incident. Preserve relevant booking messages, receipts and photographs where safe and lawful; do not confront a suspected offender to collect evidence. You may also report the matter to us, but reporting to us does not itself register a police complaint.
Reporting, review and restrictions
Use our contact form, giving your booking reference, what happened, when and where it happened, and any evidence you can safely provide. Drivers and partner businesses may also report concerns. Good-faith reporting must not lead to threats or retaliation. We take all reports seriously, consider the available information and may seek accounts from the people involved. We may restrict or suspend participation while a serious risk is assessed. A temporary restriction is not a finding that an allegation has been proved.
We handle personal information under our Privacy Policy and share it only where needed for the review, a lawful request or another permitted purpose. We will not promise absolute confidentiality where disclosure is required by law. A person affected by a review may ask for reconsideration through the contact form and provide further information. We will consider that request without requiring contact with the other party.
This policy does not replace emergency services or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
